Frequently Asked Questions

  • Grit & Grace Adventures was founded on the belief that when women gather in a dedicated space, the energy shifts. In midlife, we are often defined by our roles—mother, partner, career professional. Our boutique journeys provide a sanctuary for you to shed those labels. In the company of other women navigating similar transitions, there is a unique safety that allows for true reflection, deep laughter, and the "unbecoming" of who you thought you had to be. We create a gender-affirming environment that celebrates the diverse stories and resilience of all women.

  • While our heartbeat is women’s travel, we occasionally open specific expeditions—such as our African safaris—to partners and friends of all genders. These are rare, once-in-a-lifetime opportunities where sharing the wonder with a loved one adds a different layer of joy. In these instances, we communicate with the group well in advance to ensure everyone feels comfortable and the boutique atmosphere remains intact.

  • Absolutely. Our journeys are not about physical "perfection" or advanced poses. We view yoga as a movement toward yourself. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or have never stepped onto a mat, our small group sizes allow us to honour your individual rhythm. It is about presence, not performance. If you are open to moving your body and breathing with intention, you are ready.

  • Most of our guests arrive solo. While you may start the journey on your own, you will quickly find yourself part of an intimate community. We specialize in bringing together like-minded women who value connection and emotional intelligence. We provide comfortable, boutique accommodations where you can feel secure and supported throughout the entire experience.

  • When you feel the call of a specific destination, simply select the "Let’s Go" or "Reserve Your Spot" link on the adventure page. You can secure your placement with a deposit or pay in full. Once your registration is received, you will receive a personal welcome email from me with all the essential details to begin your transformation.

  • To maintain the integrity of our small group journeys, all deposits are non-refundable. Final balances are generally due 90 days prior to departure. We have a tiered refund schedule based on how close we are to the departure date. For full details on timelines and processing fees, please visit our dedicated Terms and Conditions page.

  • Life is beautifully unpredictable, and travel should be protected. We require all guests to carry comprehensive travel and medical insurance to ensure you are covered for any "unexpected plot twists"—from medical emergencies to travel disruptions. This is a non negotiable part of our professional standards to ensure both your safety and your peace of mind.

  • We do. Whether we are in the heart of the Sacred Valley or the wilds of Botswana, we work closely with our local chefs to honor your needs. Please share your requirements with us during the registration process so we can ensure every meal is a nourishing part of your adventure.

  • While I am a TICO registered guide and well versed in the logistics of travel, my focus remains firmly on the ground. I pour my energy into crafting the perfect land and sea itineraries, cultural immersions, and movement sessions. Because of this, I ask that you manage your own airfare. This allows you to choose the schedule and rewards programs that work best for you. Once you land, I take care of everything else.
